Upgraded My PC, But My New GPU Isn’t Working – Help!

I recently upgraded my PC components, swapping out my old Ryzen 3 for a Ryzen 7, adding a new DDR5 motherboard, and installing a liquid cooler. I've also upgraded my GPU from a 2060 to a 3060. The issue is that the new GPU doesn't seem to start at all, and I see a red VGA light on the motherboard. I've already returned the card and got a replacement, but still no luck. I've tried resetting the CMOS and changed some PCIe settings in the BIOS. The light went away, but I still get no signal when connecting the HDMI. I'm hoping to resolve this without the cost of a tech visit! Any advice would be appreciated.

First off, make sure you've plugged your HDMI cable into the GPU and not the motherboard. If possible, try using a DisplayPort cable instead of HDMI, as it can sometimes offer a better connection. Just a quick note—if your BIOS settings changed and you connected the cable to the GPU, ensure that the GPU is fully seated in the PCIe slot too.

Have you considered testing with a different motherboard? That could help determine whether the issue lies with the motherboard itself rather than the GPU. It's worth checking if you can borrow one just to troubleshoot further.
