Hey everyone, I had a setup with two 16GB G.Skill RAM sticks that was running fine, but I recently decided to upgrade by adding two more 16GB G.Skill RAM sticks. Unfortunately, now my computer won't boot at all. I even tried removing the CMOS battery, but nothing changed. It turns out the two sets of RAM are different and might not be compatible. I've taken out the new RAM sticks, but my PC still isn't posting. Even when I try booting with just one 16GB stick, it powers down after a few seconds. I could really use your advice on what to do next!

Mixing memory kits can lead to serious boot issues, as you experienced. It's best to use a single compatible kit. If you're going to add more RAM, just make sure all sticks are identical in specs!
Check that all your motherboard power cables are seated properly, especially the 24-pin ATX and the CPU power connectors. I've had problems where slight nudges during installation caused these cables to come loose, and it's usually the simplest fix!
I had the same issue, and fixing the connections did the trick for me. But now I’m getting a VGA error—what should I do about that?
I faced this a while back with DDR4 too. I fixed it by trying each RAM stick one by one to find the right configuration. Also, make sure to turn off XMP or EXPO settings during the process.
That actually happened to me too when I was installing a new CPU, it was super frustrating!
