Upgraded to a 180 Hz Monitor, Now My Games Keep Crashing—Help!

I've recently made the switch from a 75 Hz monitor to a 180 Hz one, and now I'm encountering some frustrating issues. Whenever I play certain games, the screen freezes and occasionally the game crashes to the desktop. I've tried adjusting various monitor settings, such as disabling V-Sync and Adaptive Sync, and I've even reduced my graphics settings. The only solution that consistently works is reverting my refresh rate back to 75 Hz. I did manage to improve overall stability and reduce stuttering by undervolting my GPU, but I still experience freezes after playing for a while. I'm starting to wonder if my power supply could be the culprit. Here's my setup:

- GPU: RTX 3060
- PSU: Corsair CX750F
- CPU: i5-14400F
- Motherboard: ROG Strix B660-A Gaming WiFi
- RAM: 32 GB Corsair

I'd really appreciate any advice before I decide to invest in a new power supply!

First off, have you checked your CPU and GPU temperatures while playing? Overheating could definitely be an issue. Also, what resolution are you running on your new monitor? If you're pushing it to 1440p, that might be adding strain, and considering a clean driver install with DDU could help too. Never seen a monitor crash a game, usually, it's hardware or driver-related issues. Good luck!

The monitor is set to 1440p, and during gameplay, my CPU stays below 50 degrees Celsius, while my GPU is usually under 70. Hoping those temps are safe!

It sounds like your graphics card might be getting stressed with the higher resolution. If you’ve already tried changing settings and it's still crashing, definitely keep an eye on those temperatures. Try reinstalling your GPU drivers using DDU; it can really help with game stability. Hope you find a fix soon!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll give the driver reinstall a shot and see if it changes anything.
