I just upgraded my graphics card to an Nvidia 5070, but surprisingly, my computer's performance has taken a dive, especially during 3D modeling. I previously had a 4060 Ti but had to upgrade due to a large project that was too demanding for my setup. I've already used DDU in safe mode to uninstall the old drivers and reinstalled the correct drivers from Nvidia's website twice. My system has a 750-watt PSU and an Intel i7-12700K. What can I do to solve these performance issues?

Check your CPU cooling setup! I have a 12700K too, and I had to power limit it and even underclock it to avoid thermal throttling. If your CPU is running too hot, it may be affecting your performance with the 5070.
First, double-check that your GPU is connected properly to the PSU and that your monitor is plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard. Also, use HWMonitor to see if your GPU is boosting correctly when you're running intensive applications. Sometimes VRAM can get maxed out during heavy projects, so keep an eye on that too.
Make sure the 5070 is installed in the top PCIe 4.0 x16 slot on your motherboard for optimal performance. Sometimes slot placement can affect how the GPU operates.
There's a few possibilities here. First off, if you had the 4060 Ti 16GB version, switching to the 12GB 5070 might be underwhelming for your project. Additionally, some 3D modeling software may not fully support the 5000 series GPUs yet. Make sure you installed the studio drivers correctly as well. Lastly, while the i7-12700K is powerful, it could be causing a bottleneck in some scenarios. Just a thought!
