Upgrading from 4060 to 9070 XT: Need Power Supply Advice

I'm looking to upgrade my GPU from a 4060 to a 9070 XT, but I'm a bit worried about the power supply connector situation. Since my system is pre-built and the power supply isn't modular, it only has one 8-pin cable connected to the 4060. The 9070 XT actually needs two 8-pin connectors. I've noticed another 8-pin cable coming from the same cable connected to my current GPU, and I'm wondering if I can just plug that into the second port on the 9070 XT. Also, since this is my first time swapping GPUs, do you have any tips or things I should check before making the switch?

It's generally not a good idea to use a single cable with two connectors for the GPU because it can overheat and may even pose a fire risk. As a best practice, you should really be using two separate cables from the power supply for safety. I had a similar setup with a different GPU and eventually switched to two separate connections just to be safe!

Should I look into getting a new power supply then? Can I still use my current one until I can buy a new one? Just for a little while, it should be okay, right?
