Upgrading from 8700K: Should I go for 14900K, 9950X3D, or 9800X3D?

I'm in the market for a new CPU and am considering the 14900K, 9950X3D, and 9800X3D to upgrade from my current 8700K. I plan on using a triple monitor setup at 1440p for sim racing, and I'll often have additional programs running in the background like Spotify, Twitch streaming software, and various racing apps. I've heard that the 9800X3D performs excellently in gaming, but it may struggle with multitasking, which has me worried about my streaming needs. I'm not concerned about future upgrade options since I intend to stick with this CPU for another 8-10 years. Given the similar prices of the 9950X3D and 14900K, I'm leaning towards the 14900K for its all-around performance, but I've also read about potential issues like core parking. What would you do if you were in my shoes, and why?

I wouldn't recommend the 14900K for your situation unless you're already on that platform. Go for the 9800X3D or the 9950X3D depending on your budget; both are better choices for gaming and multitasking.

The 14900K really doesn't compete well against the AMD chips for gaming, especially when you compare it to the 9800X3D or 9950X3D. If you can get the 9950X3D for around the same price, that should be your pick, especially since you do more than just gaming.

I heard mixed things about core parking on the 9950X3D. Can it actually handle both streaming and gaming effectively, or is it more of a problem than people say?
