Hey everyone! I'm currently running an ASUS 12GB OC 4070 and playing games on a Samsung Odyssey G9 at a resolution of 5120x1440. While I generally get around 60 frames, I've been experiencing some rhythmic hitching, which I suspect is due to insufficient VRAM. I'm considering an upgrade to either the 7900 XTX or the 9070 XT, since NVIDIA's prices have skyrocketed. I'm torn between getting more VRAM with the 7900 XTX or opting for the newer architecture and FSR 4 support of the 9070 XT. If anyone here owns either card, I'd love to hear your experiences! Thanks!

You might want to consider the 9070 XT. I have it on an AM4 setup and it runs all the games you mentioned smoothly at 1440p without any hitching. I generally keep settings at 'high' or whatever the games default to, and they look great!

That sounds great! I had a decent experience with my 4070 at 3440x1440, but this new monitor is a game-changer, so I'm looking for more VRAM. I typically play on high to ultra settings to maximize visuals. Thanks for the insight; I'm leaning towards the 9070 XT!
