I'm upgrading my motherboard from a B450 DS3H to a B550M MAG TOMAHAWK MAX WiFi. Is it as simple as transferring all my components from the old motherboard to the new one, or do I need to take care of other things, like uninstalling any Gigabyte related software? Just to clarify, I already have the new motherboard here with me now.

Make sure to uninstall any Gigabyte-related drivers on your old board before you switch over. Just to prevent any conflicts when you boot up with the new board. Good luck with the swap!
Honestly, moving from one AM4 board to another isn't usually necessary unless something's broken. But since you mentioned your VRMs got damaged, it makes sense. Just swap everything over and make sure to double-check all your connections. You're good to go!
Yeah, definitely double-check the power connections, especially for the CPU. Might want to clear the CMOS too after the swap to avoid any boot issues.
Thanks! I’ll take care of that before I make the change.
