Hey everyone! I'm in the process of upgrading my CPU from an Intel 9400F, which doesn't have onboard graphics, to a 9700K that does. I'm planning to keep my HDMI plugged into my dedicated GPU and I don't intend to use the onboard graphics at all. My question is: after I install the new CPU, can I boot directly into my desktop without uninstalling any drivers? Will I need to install new drivers afterwards?

You've got nothing to worry about! Since you're not planning on using the onboard graphics, it won't affect your setup. The CPU might install some basic drivers on its own, but you're just making a direct swap, so everything should function smoothly—and likely even better!
Swapping the CPU should be straightforward! Just make sure to check that XMP profiles are still enabled, as BIOS settings might reset to defaults when you change hardware. Other than that, no special steps are needed since all drivers will remain the same.
