Upgrading My Gaming PC for Better Performance

I'm looking to boost the performance of my gaming setup. I usually play CPU and RAM-intensive games like Rust, and I always run at the lowest graphics settings. Right now, I have a 2070 Super, an i7 10700 processor, and 16GB of RAM, which gives me an average of 60-70 fps in Rust. I'm considering upgrading to dual 32GB RAM (two 16GB sticks) and moving to an i9 10900 CPU. I typically play at a resolution of 1280x1080. Any advice on my upgrade plans or suggestions for other components I should look at? I'm not too knowledgeable about PC builds, so I'm open to any tips!

Adding another 16GB of RAM of the same type you have would be a great starting point. Your GPU is capable enough for Rust, but I think your CPU might be limiting your performance. If you do decide to upgrade the CPU, remember that it might also mean you need a new motherboard, which can complicate things. I'd recommend looking into an AM4 build with at least a 5800X for long-term viability, although those can be tough to find for a good price.

5800X CPUs are still available new at a decent price (around $200), but if you want a better value strictly for gaming, the 5600X is about $160.
