Upgrading My GPU – Is It Time for a Complete Overhaul?

I built my gaming PC three years ago when I had a 1080P monitor, but now I've upgraded to a Samsung Odyssey 34'' G8 Ultra Wide OLED 2K (3440 x 1440p). I'm considering upgrading my GPU to either an RTX 5080 or 5090, and I'll likely need a new PSU for either option. Should I also think about updating my RAM speed and CPU while I'm at it? Here are my current build specs:

- **PC Case**: Thermaltake Core P6 TG
- **CPU**: Intel Core i7 13700K
- **Motherboard**: ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-F
- **RAM**: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB DDR5, 5600MHz, 32GB (2x16GB)
- **AIO Water Cooler**: ASUS ROG STRIX LC II 360 ARGB
- **Graphics Card**: ASUS Tuff Gaming RTX 3060TI OC Edition
- **Storage**: T-Force Z44L SSD 500GB M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 (OS & Programs), T-Force Z440 SSD 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 (Games), Sandisk WD Black SN7100 SSD 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 (Data, files, media)
- **Power Supply**: Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 850W Gold Plus
- **Cooling Fans**: ASUS Tuff Gaming ARGB Fans TF120 (config: 3x120mm front intake, 2x120mm bottom intake, 3x120mm AIO, 3x120mm top exhaust, 1x120mm back exhaust)

Your setup is already solid! I'd recommend going for the RTX 5080 instead of rebuilding your whole platform. There's really no need to upgrade your CPU or RAM right now.

I hear you! The 5080 sounds appealing, but I’m leaning towards the 5090 for extra VRAM, even though it's a bit pricier. I was hoping for an 5080 Super release, but that seems unlikely.
