Upgrading My PC After 5 Years – Need Advice!

Hey everyone! I'm finally upgrading my computer after five long years. I managed to snag an RX 9070XT at MSRP last month, and now I feel like it deserves a new rig. I'm aiming for a system that will last me a few years and will support 1440p gaming. I'm also on the hunt for monitor recommendations under $300-400 since OLEDs are a bit out of my budget right now.

Here's what I'm currently working with:
- Ryzen 7 3700x
- Nvidia 2070 Super
- 32GB DDR4-3200MHz

Here's the build I'm considering: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9MwqQd

I'm a little unsure if some of my chosen parts might be overkill. For instance, I'm debating between the R7 7800X3D and the 9800X3D, which I can get for $480 at Micro Center. I'm also not certain if I'm going overboard with the motherboard either, as I don't plan on doing much overclocking—maybe just a bit of undervolting on the GPU. I thought about trying an AIO cooler for the first time, and the one I picked has great reviews from GamersNexus.

Just to clarify, my budget for the whole setup is around $2300, but I'm flexible with it because I want to treat myself. Any advice you all have would be greatly appreciated!

Your build looks solid! You might be slightly overbuilding, but that’s totally fine if you want something that’ll last. I’d suggest dropping the HDD unless you really need it for movies—maybe just go for a larger SSD instead. You could save some cash that way!

Thanks for the input! The HDD is mainly for movies, but I might just skip it and go for a big SSD instead.
