I'm planning to upgrade my six-year-old PC to boost its performance for modern video games, especially since I'll be gaming in 4K and already have the monitors lined up. I'm looking to replace my GPU with an RTX 5070 and my CPU with a Ryzen 7 5700X3D, as my motherboard is compatible with both. I'm keeping my existing 16GB Corsair DDR4 RAM and a 700W Thermaltek PSU. My main concern is whether there are any potential bottlenecks with this setup. Should I be worried about anything before I move ahead with purchasing and installing these components? I've included links to the parts I'm considering for reference.

I've got a 5070 too, and I gotta say, if you're aiming for max settings at 4K, it might not cut it with just 12GB VRAM. But, who knows? In the future, with more games using advanced techniques like RTX Neural Texture Compression, it could improve. I bought the 5070 mainly for 2K gaming, and for that, it's been just fine.
Honestly, I think you're making a mistake with the Ryzen 7 5700X3D. Spending $330 on a CPU that performs similarly to a $200 9600x just doesn’t make sense to me. And that RTX 5070 with only 12GB of VRAM for 4K gaming? That might be a risky choice. Sure, you'll get decent performance with DLSS set to balanced, but trust me, that VRAM could be an issue sooner rather than later.

What about switching to a 5060ti with 16GB VRAM instead? Would that be a better option?
