Upgrading My PC for 4K Gaming – Need Advice!

Hey everyone! I've got a 4K TV and a PS5 Pro that I love using, but now I want to step up my PC to handle 4K gaming too, especially for those awesome single-player games. I'm also about to get a 4K monitor. I'm aiming for a stable 60fps at 4K on medium to high settings. I usually play games like FFVII Rebirth, Exp33, and Elden Ring, but I dabble in some online games like FFXIV and Marvel Rivals occasionally. Here's the current setup:

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
- **GPU**: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB
- **Motherboard**: Asus ROG STRIX B550-A GAMING
- **Memory**: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16
- **Storage**: 1TB SSD & 1TB HDD
- **Power Supply**: Fox Spirit HG750 750W

I know my GPU isn't quite up to par for 4K gaming, so I'm looking for suggestions on what to upgrade. I'd prefer to keep the cost around $600 per component, but I'm flexible with that. Thanks so much for any help!

You’ve got a couple of solid paths here. If sticking with AM4, consider grabbing a Ryzen 7 5700X3D if you find a good deal. Pair that with either an RX 9070 XT or an RTX 5070 Ti. Plus, I’d recommend getting a 2TB NVME SSD and keeping your 1TB for the OS. That’ll boost load times and performance.

Alternatively, moving to AM5 does cost a bit more. You’ll need a new motherboard and can opt for a Ryzen 5 7600X or even a Ryzen 7 7700X. On the RAM side, go for 32GB at 6000 MHz CL30. Overall, just weigh your options based on your budget and future-proofing needs!

Got it! So if I go with the extra RAM, the RX 9070 XT, and the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, I’ll be set for 4K? Thanks for your help!
