I'm considering upgrading my current PC or building a new one, but I'm not sure where to begin. My current setup includes a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, an RTX 3060TI GPU, and 16GB of DDR4-3200 RAM. For 4K gaming, I'd recommend putting your budget heavily into the GPU. You might even get by with just upgrading to a Ryzen 5 5600x or 5700x and investing in the best GPU you can get, since you'll be GPU-bound at that resolution. The RX 9060 XT isn't really ideal for 4K; the 5070 might be better if you aim for 60fps, but be aware that its 12GB VRAM might cause some limitations at 4K down the line.
Focusing on your GPU is key for 4K since most games will be limited by it. I suggest going with an R5 9600X and an RX 9070 XT. If you're near a Microcenter, check out their bundles; they sometimes have deals like a 9800X3D bundled with a compatible motherboard at a good price. This setup should get you up and running nicely!
