Upgrading to an Nvidia GPU: Do I Need an Adapter for 12vhpwr?

I'm currently using an RX 580 2048SP but I'm looking to upgrade to an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB. My PSU has enough wattage, but I'm stuck without a 12vhpwr connector. Can I use an adapter for this? If so, should I go for a 6+2 to 12vhpwr or maybe two 6+2 to 12vhpwr connectors? I know the RX 6800 XT offers better price-to-performance, but I'm particularly interested in the upscaling and ray tracing features of the Nvidia card.

A solid option is to get a direct PSU double 8-pin to 12vhpwr connector from your PSU manufacturer. This would ensure compatibility and reliability for your GPU upgrade.

So you're saying a double 6+2 to 12vhpwr from Gigabyte would work?
