Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a strange issue with my new Windows computer. I was browsing 123movies on Firefox when I accidentally clicked on an ad that tried to download Opera GX. I chose not to download it, but later that day I started hearing a cricket-like noise, about three chirps, coming directly from my computer's speakers. I thought it was my AirPods, so I disconnected them, but the sound was definitely from the computer. I panicked, deleted a bunch of apps, and restarted my PC, but then the noise switched to my phone, which also made the same three chirps. Yesterday, I deleted Firefox and all my social media apps in a frenzy, thinking my data was being hacked. I haven't heard the sound today yet, but I'm really worried and just want to know what this might be. Could it be related to my hard drive or something else? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

So wait, you heard a random sound and immediately jumped to thinking both your computer and phone are hacked? Totally reasonable reaction, right? But seriously, it might just be a glitch with some app or program. Don't stress too much until you're sure it's a real problem!
Hey there! It sounds like a really stressful situation, but try not to panic! It hasn't happened today, right? Just to check, are your AirPods still connected to the PC in any way? Sometimes it could be a glitch where a program is playing audio even after you've shut the PC down, which might explain why it carried over to your phone. Just hang tight; it's likely not as bad as it seems!
Yeah, so it all happened yesterday. My computer made the 3-chirping sound four times, and my phone did it three times. My AirPods are disconnected from my PC now. I still can't check my phone because my Dad doesn't let me have it in the morning, but so far, the noise hasn't come back. It's like it was coming from near the speakers, almost like a ringtone.

Yeah, the noise hasn't come back yet, but I'm still kind of scared about it!
