What AM4 CPU Should I Upgrade to Avoid Bottlenecking My 4070 Super?

I'm currently running a Ryzen 5 3600 and I'm seeing some serious bottlenecking at 1440p with my new 4070 Super. I've looked into options but I'm unsure which AM4 CPU would minimize that bottleneck without going overboard on budget. A Ryzen 7 5700X3D is out of my price range at around $400 used, plus upgrading to AM5 isn't feasible due to high RAM costs. I'm hoping for some guidance on which AM4 CPU will best let me utilize my GPU's potential. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If you're looking for something a bit cheaper but still effective, the Ryzen 5700X or even the 5600X can work well. Both are solid performers in gaming and should give you a better experience than the 3600 without a huge jump in price.

I heard the difference between the 5700X and the 5600 isn't massive, but the price difference is about 33%. So, is the performance boost worth it to spend more on the 5700X?

You should definitely consider the Ryzen 5800X as a solid upgrade. It's a great fit for your 4070 Super and won't break the bank compared to top-tier options. It should help reduce that bottleneck significantly.
