I'm looking for suggestions on activities or programs I can run on my outdated Windows 10 laptop, which I updated from Windows 8. Unfortunately, I don't have WiFi at my grandpa's place, so I would need to find things I can do offline. The laptop struggles with performance, so any suggestions tailored for older hardware would be helpful!

Honestly, there are tons of games and software you can load up, like Ultrakill or Minesweeper. Plus, you can install some N64 or GBA ROMs. If you download movies or some old school games at a WiFi spot, you'll have plenty to enjoy offline!
I use my old laptop mostly for note-taking or word processing. Microsoft Word doesn't need an internet connection, and there are also solid text editors and music apps that work perfectly fine on older machines. You might even find versions of apps like Tidal that can run well!
I'd be curious about the specs of your laptop. Just because it's a bit aged doesn’t mean it can't be useful! My old Dell’s not fast, but it handles movies and music well. If it's slow but can manage games like Factorio on low settings, that’s a win!
