I'm dealing with OCD and prefer having everything in one file, but I've found that Microsoft Word struggles with larger documents, especially those over 500MB. I'm looking for alternatives that can handle big files without slowing down or crashing, while also allowing me to keep everything organized in one place. Any suggestions?

Honestly, Word can manage pretty large files, even whole books! If it’s getting slow, might be more about your computer's specs. But for something different, have you tried LibreOffice? It's open-source and a solid option if you're looking to move away from Microsoft.
I think LibreOffice is a great choice! Plus, it’s free and does a lot of what Word does.
