I'm about to build my first PC and I'm looking for alternatives to the RTX 4060 since I've heard a lot of people say it's not worth the money. In my region, the price for the RTX 4060 is around $300. Also, should I buy RAM now or wait? Thanks!

People often call the 4060 trash mainly because it only has 8GB of VRAM, especially after the 3060 had 12GB. If you're looking for a better value, I'd recommend at least considering the 5060 Ti with 16GB or the 9060 XT with 16GB. Those options might serve you better long-term.
As for RAM, I’d suggest only buying it now if you really need to. Based on my experience with two PCs—one sporting a 4060 and the other a 3060—both perform well for most tasks. If you find a good deal on the 4060, it's a solid choice for general use. If you want something more powerful, the RTX 5070 is better but costs significantly more, around $800 to $900.
If you're considering alternatives to the RTX 4060 for around $300, you might want to look at the Intel ARC B580 or the RTX 5060. The 9060 XT with 8GB could be another option, but I'm not sure about its pricing in your area. Just keep in mind that options may vary depending on where you live.
