What are some good compact edge computing options for tight spaces?

I'm searching for edge computing solutions that can fit into cramped backroom areas, requiring hardware that is narrow and short-depth. Currently, we have three mini-PCs at each site, which primarily function as a 1G switch, but they also handle some routing for cellular out-of-band monitoring when our on-site ISP fails. Each setup costs around $4,000, including about $1200 for each NUC, featuring plenty of memory and dual drives, plus $300 for networking gear. We want to upgrade this setup with two main goals: firstly, we need a more reliable out-of-band management solution than Intel's vPro, which has been unreliable for us; we're looking for alternatives from AMD or even ARM. Secondly, it would be great to combine all the necessary hardware into a single unit with better features, like dual power supplies and filtered vents, plus an upgrade to 10G connectivity between nodes. I've looked into the Dell XR4000 series and HP Edgeline EL8000 series, but I'm struggling to find detailed info and I'm concerned about pricing being high. Any recommendations for similar hardware or mini-PCs with effective out-of-band management options would be greatly appreciated!

Check out the Minusforum MS-01. I just set one up in my mixed environment with around 15 Macs managed through the cloud. This compact device handles a Docker install and a few Windows VMs for things like domain control and name resolution for my POS setups. It has a mobile i9 processor, 2x10G SFP ports, and 2x2.5G Ethernet ports—plus, you can fit in 64GB of RAM and 3 NVMe drives. Best part, it’s under $600. So, adding some EEC RAM and NVMe drives could keep you well under $1000 for a solid host. Definitely a good fit in tight spaces, as it's as compact as a 1L Lenovo ThinkCenter or Dell Optiplex!

How's the out-of-band management feature working out on that?
