Hey everyone! I've been exploring different desktop environments and I'm really interested in trying out KDE Plasma. So far, I know about Kubuntu and KDE Neon, but I'm looking for more recommendations on Linux distributions that come with KDE Plasma pre-installed. By the way, I plan to test these out in a virtual machine. Any suggestions?

You might want to check out CachyOS; it defaults to KDE Plasma and has lots of customization options. If you prefer stability over the latest features, try Debian or MX Linux with KDE.

Kubuntu, Fedora KDE, and OpenSUSE Tumbleweed are all great options that specialize in KDE. You can technically install KDE Plasma on any distro, but I’d avoid doing it on Mint since it might not run as smoothly. If your PC is getting a bit old, consider how lightweight each of these distros is.

If you're interested in a rolling release, Manjaro is smooth with KDE. On the other hand, for a stable experience, I'd suggest OpenSUSE Tumbleweed since it’s considered the home base for KDE.

Have you tried Garuda KDE Lite? It’s a minimal installation of KDE that doesn’t even come with a web browser. It's super fast and lets you just enjoy the features of KDE without extra bloat.
