A few years ago, I bought a couple of hard drives (2TB and 4TB), but I've had trouble installing them in my computer because of their physical dimensions. Recently, I rediscovered them and I'm considering getting enclosures for both, which would cost me about $40 each. Before I make the purchase, I'm wondering what I could actually do with a total of 6TB of external storage. Would it be worth spending this money if I don't have a clear use for them?

A practical option is to use those drives for backups. If you haven't been regularly backing up your data, this could be a lifesaver.
Instead of enclosures, consider getting a SATA to USB adapter that allows you to connect both drives easily. I have one from Orico that works great! It even saves space since you can swap drives without hassle.

I spotted one like that at Walmart for around $45—pretty convenient!
