What Are the Alternatives to SecureCRT and Do I Need to Renew the License?

I'm curious about the licensing for SecureCRT. Is it a lifetime license or do I need to renew it? I often find myself uninstalling it because Putty has several limitations, and I'm not a fan of SolarPutty or SuperPutty either. Someone suggested MobaXterm, but I've noticed it also requires a license. Is it worth paying for the license, or is the free version sufficient? I appreciate any thoughts you might have. Thanks!

You might also want to check out MTPuTTY to see if it meets your requirements. It's another option you could consider.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve really been enjoying Xshell so far, but I’ll keep MTPuTTY in mind!

Have you tried mRemoteNG? It's free and has worked really well for me! Might be worth checking out as an alternative.

Yeah, I hear mRemoteNG is good! But honestly, I recently switched to Xshell, and it’s been fantastic. Definitely a step up from Putty!

From what I understand, SecureCRT's license is a lifetime one, but keep in mind that it doesn't come with updates or support. As for MobaXterm, it really depends on your needs. If the free version works for you, then go for it!

Thanks for clarifying! Your English is great, and I really appreciate your help. I've been using Xshell for a couple of days, and it's been amazing—way better than Putty!
