Hey everyone! I'm currently using a Ryzen 7 3700X paired with an RTX 2070 Super, which I bought back in early 2020. While I've been gaming casually with titles like Hogwarts Legacy and Doom, I mainly want to upgrade for photography purposes. I'm often editing, grading, and exporting high-resolution images in Lightroom and Photoshop. Right now, working with these large files (about 45MP and 60MB) is slow, and I experience lag while navigating through multiple layers in Photoshop. I'm not looking to switch to AM5 just yet due to budget constraints; instead, I'm hoping to improve my performance on the AM4 platform, particularly with faster clock speeds. Any suggestions for viable upgrades? Also, I'm located in the EU, so that may impact availability and pricing.

If you're focused on photography, I’d recommend either the Ryzen 9 5900X or 5950X as solid upgrades for your rig. They really excel in multitasking and can handle photo editing tasks much better. You can check out some benchmarks online to see how they perform in Lightroom and Photoshop!
Thanks for sharing that! I hadn't found those benchmarks before, but I trust Puget's reviews.
