I'm on the hunt for a solid upgrade for my AM4 system, especially something in the X3D lineup that will enhance my gaming experience. Right now, I have a Ryzen 5 5600, paired with an RTX 4060, and a B550 motherboard, plus 32 GB of DDR4 RAM, all running on a 1080p monitor at 180 Hz. The games I typically play include demanding titles like Escape from Tarkov, Arma Reforger, and other CPU-heavy strategy and simulation games. I've heard that the Ryzen 7 5800X3D is the top choice for AM4 gaming CPUs, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to find, and prices are getting out of hand in my area. Are there any other viable AM4 X3D alternatives I should consider for 2025/2026?

If you're looking at AM4 options, the 5700X3D or the 5600X3D could work, but keep in mind that availability might be hit or miss. If pricing isn't too crazy, those should serve you decently.
These X3Ds are mostly out of production, so finding them new is going to be tough. Look for a used 5700X3D, but only buy if it's around $200 USD. I have one and it's a solid CPU, just don't overspend on it.
Honestly, your choices are limited. The 5800X3D is the top dog, and there's also the 5700X3D which has a bit lower performance but might be cheaper. I'd skip the 6-core versions like the 5600X3D and 5500X3D if you can help it.
I managed to snag a 5500X3D, and it's still being produced, mostly found in South America though. If you can locate one, trust me, it's a solid upgrade!
Not sure if they're still in production, or if you'll find them at good prices. Consider the 5800XT as a bridge before moving onto AM6 gear when you're ready.
