I'm in the process of building a new ITX Fractal Ridge PC and have already picked up a Ryzen 7800x3d and 32GB of RAM. My aim is to create a mid-to-high-end system for 1440p gaming. I've been diving into the current chaos of GPU pricing and am thinking about expanding my budget to around $700 instead of my original $500, as it seems to offer better value.
I've been checking out options on PC part picker and the local Facebook Marketplace within my budget, and here's what I found:
- **RTX 5070 Ti**: This card seems to have great value compared to other Nvidia offerings right now.
- **RTX 4070 Ti Super**: Found on Facebook Marketplace (no tax!), priced at approximately $700-$750. Benchmarks look solid, but it's slightly outperformed by the 5070 Ti, which is only about $50 more.
- **RX 9070 XT**: An AMD contender, but I'm leaning towards Nvidia since I plan to use this setup for some productivity tasks too, and I prefer Nvidia for its stability.
- **RX 7900 XTX**: Also available locally for around $750; it boasts a larger VRAM compared to the others (24GB vs. 16GB).
I'm curious about what you all think are the best value cards in this price range. A part of me is also considering if I should just go for the $550 5070 and keep the rest of my budget for some nice new peripherals. I mostly enjoy cinematic games, aiming for a stable 60-90 fps on high settings. I'd appreciate any thoughts you have!

Honestly, the 5070 Ti is your best bet in this price range. If you can't snag a 5080 for under $1000, there's really no point in going higher unless you're eyeing the 5090. The 5070 Ti strikes a nice balance for mid-tier performance.
