I'm looking for a Linux distribution that allows me to be productive while offering a decent level of customization. I've previously used Zorin and liked it, but I also enjoyed Linux Mint, though I find them a bit limited in terms of customization options. My setup includes 8GB of RAM, a 240GB SSD, and an Intel 7th gen i5 processor. I primarily use VS Code, and I multitask with music and YouTube tutorials. I occasionally play web games and do a lot of research using Firefox. I'm comfortable using the terminal for various tasks and I'm open to dual-booting if necessary. Could anyone recommend a couple of distros that might suit my needs? Thanks!

Debian could be a great choice for you. It's stable, offers customization, and there are various environments to choose from. Kubuntu is another solid option if you prefer KDE.
As an intermediate user, you might want to check out OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. It has up-to-date software and a stable environment, which should work nicely for your coding and multitasking needs. You could also consider stripping down Linux Mint for a more personalized experience, but honestly, something like a tiling window manager could be fun too!

Totally agree! If you're experienced enough, you can make a beginner-friendly distro fit your needs once you get the hang of it.
