Hey everyone! I'm new to Linux and currently using Linux Mint with Cinnamon. It's been good so far, but I'm looking to switch to something that feels more modern and aesthetic. I really care about how my setup looks—the smooth animations, clean UI, and theming options are super important to me. I've seen some amazing setups online, but I'm unsure what desktop environment (DE) they're using or how to replicate those looks. I'm hoping you all can recommend some good options! I'm specifically looking for a DE that has:
- A modern and sleek UI
- Good community support and stability
- Easy customization and theming
If you have suggestions or examples of your setups, I'd love to see them. Thanks for the help!

If aesthetics are important to you, try Debian with Budgie. It’s sleek and has a really clean interface. Budgie lets you tailor it to your liking, and you can find lots of themes and plugins online added by the community.

You should check out Fedora with the KDE Plasma desktop. It's super modern and highly customizable. Plus, the community support is great! You can theme it to look just how you want it, and the animations are smooth. It's a top choice for a fresh look!

Cinnamon is a solid DE, but don’t hesitate to install a few others to see what you like! I suggest experimenting with KDE; I've been considering switching myself. The customization options are fantastic, and it has a modern feel!
