I'm looking for advice on the best office chairs to help improve my posture since I spend 8-10 hours a day at my computer. I tend to slouch without even realizing it, and while my posture isn't terrible, it's definitely not great. Comfort is my top priority because I find it hard to focus when my back starts hurting after just half an hour. Currently, I'm considering the AndaSeat X-Air Pro or the Staples Hyken, but I'm unsure which one would be better for me. I know fancy chairs like the Steelcase Leap or Herman Miller Embody would be great, but I need something in the $400-600 range and I can't get used ones where I live. Any suggestions?

I got a HAG Capisco Puls chair and it encourages me to be more active while sitting. It’s comfortable but not too comfy, so I don’t just lounge back all day. Paired with a standing desk, it’s fantastic!
Consider getting a sit-stand desk; it has changed my work-from-home game! For an office chair, I found a good Steelcase Reply that fits my budget after trying many chairs. Just remember the more adjustable a chair is, the better it can fit your needs.
I was in a similar situation with back and neck pain too. After trying a bunch of chairs, I invested in a Herman Miller, and it was the best decision ever! If your budget allows, definitely look for refurbished options online. Just avoid Secret Labs; mine broke in six months and didn’t help my posture at all.
Check out kneeling chairs! They really helped me improve my posture. I say this from experience; they can be tricky at first, but they force you to sit upright and strengthen your core. Just try using one alongside your regular chair to ease into it. Trust me, they are a cheat code for good posture!
If you can save a bit for a Herman Miller, it might be worth it! I recommend trying them out first, as preferences can vary. The Aeron might suit you better than the Embody, but I've had great experiences with the Embody too. It's super comfortable, and the only discomfort I feel is after sitting too long without moving around, which is something that can happen with any chair. Remember to take regular breaks and stand up every hour or so; it makes a big difference!
I switched from cheap office chairs to a Herman Miller Aeron and noticed instant relief from back pain. I now work from home and spend long hours sitting without discomfort. If I had to replace it, I'd do that in a heartbeat—it's been a game changer for me!
I've also had a Sayl chair for a couple of years after ditching my old Ikea chair, and I've noticed a significant reduction in back pain. My advice is to go for chairs that have adjustable features like seat depth and lumbar support because that makes a huge difference!
