I'm currently transitioning our systems from VMware to Hyper-V and have set up a Hyper-V server, but right now I don't have any VMs running on it. I'm looking to migrate our development servers over once I can get SCVMM operational. In our production setup, we use vCenter for managing hosts and VMs, so I'm curious about your experiences managing Hyper-V environments. I've used Windows Admin Center before, but I'm wondering if there are more effective tools available for this purpose. I've heard good things about SCVMM from colleagues, but I haven't had luck getting it set up just yet. Any advice?

I rely on PowerShell and Windows Failover Cluster Manager, especially on server core setups. We use Zabbix to monitor the Hyper-V hosts. Frankly, I find Windows Admin Center a bit slow; Failover Cluster Manager and PowerShell do the trick for us.
We manage our setup using Hyper-V Manager and Failover Cluster Manager. We used to have SCVMM, but we haven't used it for several years now. We currently run around 250 VMs across a dozen hosts.
We're currently setting up a POC with SCVMM alongside three Hyper-V hosts. If everything goes as planned, we'll be transitioning fully to it soon.
I keep it simple with just Microsoft’s native tools and some PowerShell scripting. Works fine for my needs.
