What are the best UPS alternatives to the Dell 3750W?

I've been using two Dell 3750W UPS units at my job since 2014, and they need to be replaced now. While they've been dependable overall, I've never found their event notifications very helpful—they're usually vague. I'm looking for recommendations on similar 5000VA units, especially from brands like Eaton, APC, and others. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I heard that Dell UPS units actually have APC technology inside, especially the SMART series. I had an APC SMART SUA1500 that did a decent job monitoring basic functions. Plus, you can install add-on modules for LAN monitoring and even control things like a generator if there's a power failure.

By the way, Eaton has a range of 5000 VA models with their 9PX series. You might want to check out their specs here: [Eaton 9PX UPS Models](https://www.eaton.com/us/en-us/catalog/backup-power-ups-surge-it-power-distribution/eaton-9px-ups.html?facets=$2134707258#models).

If you're looking for alternatives, I really like Eaton products. They have a solid track record and good reliability.

Same here, Eaton is my go-to! Couldn't recommend them more.

I second this! Their support is usually pretty great too.

One thing to consider is that APC's latest management hardware requires cloud subscriptions for some features. It might be better to stick with Eaton or even look into Liebert/Vertiv options for enterprise needs.

Good point! I had some APC units for a temporary setup and forgot about those subscription fees. Thanks for the reminder!

Yeah, they made a lot of features in PowerChute paid recently, it’s a bummer since I liked that suite. We're not planning to get APC anymore either.

I've been using Vertiv UPS systems and they hold up well. I recommend checking them out, they have a good reputation.

We've tried various brands from APC to Liebert and Riello. Lately, we've found Riello to be the most reliable. They don't limit battery usage and customer support has been great. In the 5kVA category, they have the Sentinel Tower and Sentinel Dual SDUs, both of which have worked well for us.
