I just finished building my first PC, which I'm sharing with my fiancée. I'm eager to learn Linux, but she prefers Windows 11, so here I am! I'd love some advice on how to minimize bloatware and avoid unnecessary AI features. Additionally, what are the best practices for BIOS settings and installing drivers? Any help would be hugely appreciated!

Make sure to update your BIOS—recent updates can give you performance and security boosts for both AMD and Intel setups. Only download necessary drivers, like your GPU and chipset—avoid extra software unless you really need it. I also recommend installing Revo Uninstaller; it’s a free tool that handles program uninstalls much better than the default Windows option, leaving less junk behind.
You should definitely check out the wiki and sidebar on buildapcforme. It’s super helpful! Also, there’s a script called Win11Debloat that can help you remove unwanted stuff, just be cautious not to delete anything important. You can find it on GitHub [here](https://github.com/Raphire/Win11Debloat).
When setting up Windows, try to skip the Microsoft account creation and just make a local account. It’ll save you some hassle!
I had no idea I could do that! Should I still create a local account if I already have a Microsoft account?
Amazing, thank you! I’ll definitely check that out!
