I recently launched an electronic waste recycling business and obtained certifications like R2v3 and ISO 27001. I'm aiming to set fair prices without driving myself out of the market. I've noticed that large companies often charge a premium for similar services. Currently, my pricing is as follows: $10 for each loose hard drive and $20 for drives that need to be extracted from computers. For pickups, I charge a flat fee of $200 for a box truck, while the drop-off service is free. I'd love to hear your experiences and feedback on your current vendors—especially what you appreciate or dislike about their services—so I can improve mine. To balance costs, I also offer buyback options, but only for devices that are three years old or newer. Thanks for your insights!

Most companies I work with get paid for their hardware, and the data destruction is included in the service with certificates provided. It's a win-win since they keep the hardware and we gain peace of mind regarding security.

Sounds similar to what I see in the UK. The company I use sends out a price list regularly and handles pickups without any charge.
