I'm trying to connect my laptop to a monitor, but the monitor doesn't have an HDMI port like I'm used to. Instead, it has a socket labeled "RGB in." Can anyone recommend the right type of cable or adapter I should buy to make this work? Thanks!

It would really help if you could share a picture of your monitor's connectors or the model number so we can give more tailored advice. If it turns out to be a VGA connector, then you'll definitely need an HDMI to VGA cable. Just make sure it’s designed for connecting from HDMI to VGA, not the other way around!

The model number of my monitor is LS19F355HNUXEN. It's a SAMSUNG monitor. Is that helpful?

You might want to look into an HDMI to VGA adapter. Since it sounds like your monitor has a VGA input (RGB usually refers to that), this could be the simplest solution. Just make sure the adapter you buy has HDMI on one end for your laptop and VGA on the other for the monitor. Just be cautious when buying the adapter; it should work in the direction you need!
