Hey everyone! I apologize for my English as it's not my first language. I recently purchased an ASUS ROG XG27AQWMG OLED 27" monitor, which features 3 DisplayPort 1.4 connections and 1 HDMI 2.1. My PC setup includes a 9800X3D CPU and an AsRock 9070 XT GPU, which has 3 DisplayPort 2.1a and 1 HDMI 2.1b. I want to play games at 2K resolution with a refresh rate of 280Hz. Can anyone help me figure out which cable I should get for this setup? Thanks a lot!

For 2K resolution at 280Hz, a DP 1.4 cable should work, but just make sure your current cable is compatible. Also, you might need to adjust your monitor's settings to get the best performance.

I saw a review on this monitor where they mentioned it had 2 HDMI ports but only 1 DP. It's strange since he didn't specify the cable versions either. However, I think there should be one of each provided. Also, don’t forget to disable power-saving mode; it’s often on by default.

You might want to start with a DisplayPort 1.4 cable. Just double-check and see if your monitor came with any cables, as it usually does.

True, but I remember that with my old BenQ monitor, the standard cable didn't support the 144Hz refresh rate, so I had to buy a separate DP.

DP 1.4 can handle 2K at 240Hz max, and HDMI 2.1 can go to 2K too, but I'm not sure if it’ll reach the 280Hz. Just something to keep in mind!
