I recently received a gaming PC from a friend of my brother, and I'm curious about what it can do. I'm not too familiar with the specifications, but I know it's a bit outdated. I've played Red Dead Redemption 2 on it, and it looked amazing! I'm particularly interested in emulation, but I'd love to hear what this system is capable of overall. Here are the specs I'm aware of: GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and CPU - Intel Core i3-4130 @ 3.40GHz.

This PC should handle emulation really well! Just remember that the CPU is quite old (about 12 years) and the GPU isn't too new either (around 9 years old), so it might struggle with the latest titles. Stick to older games, and you should enjoy a good gaming experience!
If you liked how RDR2 ran, just keep focusing on similar games. Emulators will work fine for you. Just beware that new AAA titles might not perform well. If you’re buying games on Steam, remember you can refund them if you play less than 2 hours. Also, check out performance videos on YouTube with your GPU to spot what to expect!
Yeah, but keep in mind those video performances might not be accurate owing to the age of your CPU and any background processes that could affect them.
You can definitely play many games from around 2012 to 2018 at 1080p. Just find a game you love and give it a try!
Just to be clear, it won’t play the latest games easily. In fact, it won’t handle stuff like ray tracing at all. It’s a solid setup for older titles, but expect limitations compared to modern hardware.
What about specific systems? Like, which ones can it handle smoothly?
