I'm looking to build a PC around an RTX 4080S and my budget is $2,500. However, I'm also open to suggestions for other GPUs if they help save costs since I'd like to keep the total build under $2,000 if possible. Any recommendations on components or builds would be greatly appreciated!

With a $2,500 budget, you can definitely fit a 5080 into your build. If gaming is your main focus, I recommend the 7800X3D combined with a 5070 Ti, and you can hit around $1,700 for that setup. It's a great value for performance.
The 7800X3D is still a strong choice. It's perfect for both gaming and content creation, handling tasks like DaVinci Resolve and Unity with ease.
If you're in the US, you can get a solid build with a Ryzen 9 9800X3D and an RTX 5080 for under $2,000. That combination should give you great performance for gaming and other tasks. Just be sure to check your parts and prices regularly!
What about for a more workstation-focused build? I'm planning to use it for Blender and video editing along with gaming.
