What CPU cooler should I choose for a 14900KF and future-proofing?

I'm currently using a Noctua NH-U12A cooler on my Ryzen 5950X, but it's reaching 82°C under multi-core stress, and I'm concerned that it might throttle even with a 12900KF. I'm planning to upgrade to an Intel 14900KF and want to find a cooler that not only works for my current setup but also future-proofs me. Any recommendations?

If you're looking for something more powerful than a traditional air cooler, a 360mm AIO could be a great choice. Just be sure to keep in mind that technology evolves, and you might need to replace it in about 5-6 years.

It's tough to future-proof since we don’t really know what the next big CPUs will be like. They might end up being powerful Intel chips or efficient ARM processors. It might be worth waiting to see what technology emerges before making a big investment now.

That cooler should handle around 200W, so you might be fine with it for now. However, if you're planning to push higher wattages in the future, definitely check out GamersNexus for some great cooler reviews. Just keep that in mind when the time comes!

82°C is pretty acceptable for multi-core stress testing. CPUs typically don’t throttle until around 90-95°C, so you've got some room to work with. Just ensure your case has good airflow!
