What CPU Upgrade Should I Consider for My Ryzen 5 3600?

Hey everyone! I hope you can help me out. I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 3600, and while it's been running smoothly for the past five years, I've started noticing that newer games are really pushing its limits, making it heat up quite a bit. I've saved some cash and want to upgrade my CPU since I think it's the main bottleneck in my setup. I have an ASRock x470 Taichi motherboard and I'm looking for an AM4 socket CPU that would be a good upgrade but still compatible with my board. What would you recommend? Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Oh, and I also have a Corsair H100 240mm AIO cooler in my build. Thanks! 😄

If you can spend around $300, I’d recommend the Ryzen 7 5700X3D. It’s a solid upgrade that should keep you going for several years. If that's a bit out of your budget, the Ryzen 5 5600 is a good alternative that's still an upgrade.

Thanks for the suggestion! I updated my post to mention I have the Corsair H100 240mm AIO cooler, which should help with the thermal management.
