Hey everyone, I'm a system administrator with several years of experience under my belt, but I haven't worked officially in cybersecurity yet. I'm looking to make a career shift into this field and would love some advice on certifications that can help me get a job or a promotion in cybersecurity. Any recommendations or insights would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve been in a similar boat! I started with the ISC2 CC cert since it's free right now, and with your sysadmin background, it should be a breeze. I’m also tackling SSCP and CISSP simultaneously since their materials overlap. I nailed the CC in under a month and I’m about to finish up SSCP soon. Definitely worth the effort!

Thanks for the tip! I looked at some beginner certs too, and they seem pretty easy, but I wanted to make sure they were worth it given my experience.
