Hey folks! I'm working on building a gaming PC with a budget of around $1,700-1,800. I want it to handle recent games well at high settings, although I don't need ultra performances. Besides gaming, I'll use it for work and casual browsing, streaming, and maybe running Discord while gaming, which is why I opted for 64 GB of RAM and an 8-core CPU. I've also included a smaller SSD because I'm planning to experiment with dual-booting and want to keep my files separate from the OS installations. I currently have two 1080p monitors but may upgrade to 1440p in the future. Is the RTX 5070 too much for this setup? I'd love to hear your thoughts! My build list is on PCPartPicker if you want to check it out!

I found a slightly better value list if you're interested! You might want to check out this alternative build: [PCPartPicker Alternative](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/R4Nxjn). Let me know what you think!
Your build looks solid! The RTX 5070 isn't overkill for 1440p gaming; it's actually a great match. You'll be able to enjoy high settings with good frame rates. Sounds like you’ve thought this through!
Thanks for the suggestion! What makes you prefer the 9700X over the 7700X, and why 32 GB RAM instead of 64?
