I've put together a PC build on a budget of $800, mostly as a way to test my skills in PC building. It's been a bit tougher than I anticipated, haha! I'm looking for any advice on how I could save some money without significantly impacting performance, or even improve performance if possible. Here's the build I've created: [PCPartPicker Build Link](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2H8NVF).

I'd look at something like this build instead: [Updated Build Link](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4ZjF6Q). It’s AM5, which gives you an upgrade path later on. If you're willing to wait, consider buying the GPU later when prices could be better—aim for the 16GB 9060XT around $350.
If you’re set on a budget for the GPU around $300, consider getting the 9060XT with 8GB. It performs better than the 5060, and both are within a similar price range. Just keep in mind that prices can fluctuate, so it may be worth waiting for a sale if you want to grab the best deal. But be careful; I’ve noticed some cards running poorly on PCIe 4.0, so check that compatibility before you buy!
For the CPU, you might save around 40 bucks by opting for a 5500/3600 instead. Every little bit helps in getting the best performance for your money!
I'd give your build about a 6/10. If you're open to suggestions, here's an alternative setup that might give you better quality components without breaking the bank: I recommend going for a Ryzen 5 5600 CPU, a solid motherboard like the MSI PRO B550M-VC, and you could save a bit by switching to a cheaper case or SSD. But overall, it’s a decent setup! Also, check out these reviews on the motherboard you chose to see how it stacks up: [TechSpot Review](https://www.techspot.com/review/2633-amd-b650-motherboards/).
Damn, I did pretty bad LOL. Thank you for the feedback!!
You could probably save some bucks on the case and SSD and reallocate that money to the GPU. Check out this link for an alternative build: [Alternative PC Part Picker List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tf2yNz). Good luck!
From what I've seen lately, the 9060XT 8GB is usually over $300, unless there's a sale. I try to avoid basing my budget on sales though. It’s a tricky situation!
