Hey everyone! I'm diving into my first PC build, as my current desktop is about to reach end of life this October and only supports up to Windows 10. I'm limited on space, which is why I've chosen a smaller case. My plan for this PC is not only some casual gaming for newer and retro titles but also for productivity tasks and coding.
I utilized PCPartPicker to make sure the parts are compatible. Are there any glaring issues with the parts I've selected? Just to note, the monitor is there for reference; I already have a 144/180 1920x1080p monitor. Also, I'm not looking to buy this setup immediately, probably more towards summer next year!

Nice ITX build! Just be mindful of cooling; you might want to look into fitting a more powerful cooler if possible. Also, I see you're investing a lot in storage, but for productivity, that could be highly beneficial especially if you're accessing resources frequently.
You can save some cash without losing performance by using this build:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X - $209
- **Cooler**: Noctua NH-L9A-AM5 - $49.95
- **Motherboard**: Asus ROG STRIX B850-I GAMING WIFI - $299.99
- **RAM**: TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 32GB DDR5 - $92.99
- **Storage**: Samsung 990 EVO Plus 4TB SSD - $255
- **GPU**: Gigabyte WINDFORCE OC SFF GeForce RTX 5070 - $609.99
- **Case**: SSUPD Meshroom S V2 - $99.99
- **PSU**: MSI MAG A750GL - $94.99
You might be spending a bit more on storage, but for productivity, having that speed is great! Total around $1711.90. Check PCPartPicker for details if you're interested!
This build is almost exactly what I'm going for, just in an ATX case. I went for the standard 7600 instead of the X to save some cash—you'll still get solid performance without the X! Plus, it means I have a backup cooler.
Thanks for the details! I'm curious why you suggested a single 4TB SSD. I thought the best setup was to keep the OS and games on separate SSDs for better performance.
My initial plan was to have the OS and work files on a 1TB SSD and just save my games on a 2TB SSD. What do you think? Is that a better approach?
