Hey everyone! I'm upgrading my rig and want to get a realistic idea of the FPS I can expect for some esports titles with my new setup. Here are the specs:
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
• GPU: MSI RTX 5070 12GB
• RAM: 32GB DDR5-4800 (Samsung, 16x2)
• SSD: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB
• HDD: Seagate 4TB 5400RPM
• Motherboard: B650M WiFi (MSI)
• PSU: 1050W Gold
• OS: Windows 11 Home
• Monitor: Planning to get a 1440p 240Hz IPS (possibly 360Hz)
I'm targeting the lowest settings to pump up the FPS for these games:
• Valorant
• Overwatch 2
• Apex Legends
• CS2
• Rainbow Six Siege
I'd really appreciate any rough FPS estimates for each game and advice on whether getting a 1440p 360Hz monitor is worth it for my setup, or if I should stick with the 240Hz option.

I’d expect you to hit pretty high frame rates—definitely in the triple digits for all those games. As for the monitor, going for 360Hz might be worth it. That said, remember that refresh rates aren't everything; the response times of the panel come into play too. A 240Hz OLED can look sharper in motion compared to a 360Hz LCD.
Yeah, I totally agree! I think you’ll notice the difference depending on what kind of content you’re working with too.
Thanks for the insights! I was actually leaning towards OLED for the quality since I spend so much time working. Good to know that response time matters!
