I'm considering an upgrade for my graphics card and want to keep my 5600X CPU. I'm primarily interested in sim racing in VR. What's a good GPU that will give me solid performance without going overboard, considering the CPU's capabilities? My current card is a GTX 1650, so I'm looking for something that's a noticeable upgrade but doesn't break the bank. Any suggestions would be great!

I wouldn't recommend going above an RTX 5070 or a Radeon RX 9070. Beyond that, you'll likely see your CPU holding back performance too much, causing diminishing returns. Stick to that range for a balanced setup.
Lower-end options could work too, something like a 3060 might fit your needs for decent performance without costing too much.
I've paired my 5600X with a 9070XT; I'm not seeing any major bottlenecks, and I’m hitting over 100 FPS in games like BF6 and Warzone at 1440p!
Look for a used RTX 3080 if you have a high-res headset. The 9060XT is solid too, as well as the 4070 Super or 6800XT. Just check your local used market and compare benchmarks to find the best fit for your gaming goals!
A 9060XT 16GB is a solid choice for 1440p gaming. If you're planning to game in VR at higher resolutions like 1440p or even 4K, the 9070 is another good option to consider. Just make sure it fits your budget!
The most reasonable limits are the 5070 or 9070. If you're looking for something easier on the wallet, the 9060XT or 5060Ti 16GB are good options to consider.
For 1080p gaming, nothing beats the 7700XT. If you're considering 1440p, stick with the 7900XT, and for 4K, you won't want to go above the 5080. You're going to face some bottlenecking no matter what, but it shouldn't be too bad. Just my two cents based on past experiences!
That sounds like solid advice! I'm thinking of sticking with 1440p for the time being.
Absolutely! It should give you a great balance of visuals and performance.
Got it! How about lower-end options? Any recommendations?
