What GPU is Best for My Ryzen 5 9600X3D Build?

I just scored an amazing deal on a Ryzen 5 9600X3D with a compatible motherboard. Currently, I'm using 16GB of DDR5 memory, but my old RTX 2060 isn't working well due to corrosion. I'm looking for a good graphics card that pairs well with my setup, especially one that can handle 1080p gaming on high or max settings, without breaking the bank given how pricey the market is right now. Any recommendations?

Honestly, any GPU you can invest in should be fine for 1080p. Even the often-maligned RTX 5050 is over 40% stronger than the RTX 2060. For used options, you might snag an RTX 3070 or better, which would be a great upgrade.

The 9060 XT is really popular for this kind of setup and offers excellent value for performance at 1080p gaming!

For a new purchase aimed at 1080p, definitely check out the 9060 XT with 16GB—it’s a great pick. The 5060 Ti is also worth it if you find a good deal.

If you’re considering something a bit more powerful, think about the RTX 5070 Super or the RTX 5070 Ti, especially if you plan to game at 1440p.

If you're looking at new GPUs, consider the 9060 XT or the 5060 Ti. Both should give you solid performance for years while gaming at 1080p.
