What GPU Should I Choose for My Ryzen 5 7600X Build?

I'm building my first PC and I've got a Ryzen 5 7600X CPU, along with my case, AIO cooler, and motherboard. Now, I'm trying to decide on a GPU. My main game is League of Legends, and I want to run it at 1440p with a stable 240 fps. I know League is more CPU-intensive, but I also want a graphics card that can handle newer games at 1080p with 120 fps, just in case I want to play something different.

I'm considering the 5060 Ti since it's priced at $500, but I'm worried it might be overkill for my CPU. I've also thought about older models like the 4060 or 4070 for potential savings. Currently, I have a GTX 1660 Super, so any upgrade would be beneficial, but I want to maximize performance without breaking the bank.

The 9060 XT 16GB is a solid choice for performance without totally breaking the bank. It's got great value for what you get, especially at your target resolution and frame rate for League and other games.

Honestly, I don't get why anyone needs more than 80 fps. Anything above that feels like overkill. I just got a 7600X too, and I'm using a 5070 OC, which should be more than fine even for 1440p gaming. Sure, I might not max out every game, but it still plays great without any stutters.

You should prioritize your CPU over the GPU for 1080p games, but the 7600X is good enough not to bottleneck until you hit higher-end cards like the RX 9070 or the 5070 from Nvidia. If you're mainly playing at 1440p, I'd lean towards the 5070. If that's out of your price range, either the 9060 XT or the 5060 Ti is a fine alternative, just don't settle for the 5060 Ti at $500.

I recently paired my Ryzen 7 9700X with a 9060 XT 16GB and it runs flawlessly. If you're thinking about that GPU, I'd recommend it without hesitation. It's been a stellar performer for me.
