I'm looking to upgrade my gaming setup since I haven't been playing much in recent years, but now I'm interested in switching to a 1440p 180Hz monitor from my current 1080p 144Hz. My build includes a Ryzen 5600X, 16GB RAM, and a GTX 1660 6GB. I'm considering increasing the RAM to 32GB but want to keep the CPU to avoid a full system upgrade. With my budget around £300, what GPU would you recommend for playing mainly indie games and some newer titles like The Last of Us 2 at 1440p with 60+ fps?

Make sure your power supply can support the new GPU before you upgrade. For hitting 1440p at 60+ fps, look into the RX 9060 XT or at least the RTX 5060 Ti. Those should do the job without overspending!
Check out this useful video for the best graphics cards paired with the Ryzen 5 5600X. It might give you a clearer idea of what will work well for your setup!
If you want to hit that 1440p 60 fps, you might also consider the RX 7700 XT. It's one of the more affordable options that can achieve that benchmark reliably!
The best GPU you could get within your budget is the RX 9060 XT with 16GB. It's good for 1440p but remember, performance can vary depending on the game since it's more tuned for 1080p. If you're really aiming for solid performance at 1440p, consider the RX 9070 or RTX 5070, but they are pricier. The 9060 XT would definitely be a solid step up from your GTX 1660, so check out some benchmarks for games you typically play!
Sounds like the 9060 XT is my best bet for now. I mainly play less demanding titles, so it should work fine. I’m just bummed that I'd need to spend a lot more for something noticeably better.
My PSU is a Corsair CV550. Would I need to upgrade that for the 9060 XT? I hadn’t really thought about it!
